The Big List (Mhari)

Here is the list of country's we will go to Iceland, England, France, Spain, India, Turkey, Egypt, Greece, Georgia, Syria, Jordan, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

P.S. It's not in order, I don't think.

Cleaning (Sam)

I am exited about our trip, but there is a lot of cleaning to be done in preparation.

Cleaning...(Mhari)

I am so excited for our trip but ooh the cleaning, I'm not known for neatness. someone is coming to look at our house and possibly rent it tomorrow my room... not done yet.

Getting ready (Sam)

We already have a cottage booked for two weeks near St Malo in France and one night in a hostel in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland.
The trip is finally coming together. I have already bought a backpack. It is a green Asolo Navigator 60 litre and I have been reading travel books non-stop.

Now 4 years later, we have decided to publish our blog, as a hard copy for a keepsake.  We have merged Sam and Mhari’s individual blogs into ours to create one document. As such, the order is by publishing dates of original posts so things skip around a bit. We have indicated Sam and Mhari’s names in their titles. We have left Sam and Mhari’s original blogs on the Internet intact. We felt that merging the blogs would be the simplest way to tackle the printing task. Mhari insisted we refrain from going in and correcting her spelling and grammar mistakes while we worked on importing her posts as she felt that would be dishonest.

(John) With a long time to go before our first flight, which will take us to Iceland for 5 days before we head to the UK and 5 weeks with my family, we are deep in the world of lists and uncertainties. But setting up this blog is one thing to tick off the list and a step closer to feeling like the Ball/Anthony family know what they are doing in this year long adventure to Europe, India, Egypt, the Middle East, Turkey and the Baltic States.
